The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatimah Abbas Jawhar Hayat, stated that two power generation and water desalination plants were targeted by hostile drone attacks resulting from the ongoing Iranian aggression. The attacks caused severe material damage and led to the shutdown of power generation units, though no human casualties were reported.

She confirmed that technical and emergency response teams immediately initiated operations in accordance with the approved emergency plans, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the safety and stability of the electricity and water systems, which remain a top national priority. She also emphasized that all technical teams are working around the clock to maintain the continuity of essential services.
