16-07-2026 Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhizeem and Undersecretary Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamel Visit the Injured Technician at Al-Jahra Hospital

As part of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel at work sites, His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhizeem, visited Al-Jahra Hospital to check on the health condition of a Pakistani technician employed by one of the Ministry’s contractors, who sustained injuries while participating in the repair of one of the overhead electricity transmission lines.

The Minister was received by the Director of Al-Jahra Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Hajjah, who briefed him on the patient’s medical condition. The Minister also received an update from the treating medical team, which confirmed that the patient’s condition is stable, all vital health indicators are reassuring, and that he is receiving the necessary medical care and treatment.

Dr. Al-Mukhizeem affirmed that the safety of all personnel working at Ministry sites remains a top priority. He stressed the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to providing a safe working environment and to implementing the highest standards of occupational safety and health, emphasizing that human capital constitutes the cornerstone of sustaining operational efficiency and ensuring the continuity of services.

The Minister also commended the dedicated efforts of the emergency response teams, technical and engineering staff, and all personnel working at operational sites for their professionalism, commitment, and tireless work in repairing damages and rehabilitating the electricity network despite challenging field conditions. He noted that these efforts contribute significantly to ensuring the continuity and stability of the power system and maintaining the quality and reliability of services provided to citizens and residents. He further urged all personnel to strictly adhere to occupational safety and preventive measures to safeguard their well-being.

In a separate visit, the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamel, also visited Al-Jahra Hospital to check on the condition of the injured employee. Accompanied by Engineer Zakaria Al-Mohammed, Director of the Overhead Lines Maintenance Department, along with a number of the Ministry’s engineers, Dr. Al-Zamel reviewed the medical care being provided to the patient and received a detailed briefing from the medical team on the developments in his condition, which was confirmed to be stable. The patient continues to receive the required treatment and medical care.

Dr. Al-Zamel expressed his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Health, represented by the management of Al-Jahra Hospital and its medical and nursing staff, for their prompt response and the exemplary healthcare services provided to the injured employee. He praised their humanitarian and professional dedication and wished the patient a swift recovery and a safe return to work at the earliest opportunity.
