The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, held his regular meeting with ministry officials and members of the Emergency Committee at the Water Facilities Operation and Maintenance Department to review the current situation under the prevailing exceptional circumstances, and to assess the level of readiness and preparedness to ensure the stability of electricity and water systems across all regions of the country.
Following the meeting, His Excellency conducted an inspection visit, accompanied by the Undersecretary, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamil, to the National Water Control Center to monitor efforts aimed at ensuring the stability of the water network and to evaluate the readiness of teams to respond to any emergencies.
During the visit, His Excellency received a briefing from technical leaders and specialists on the operational management of the water network, including monitoring and control systems used to track pressure levels and flow rates in main transmission lines, pumping stations, and strategic reserves. The briefing also covered the measures taken to ensure the efficient and reliable continuity of water supply.
His Excellency also reviewed the approved emergency response plans and the coordination mechanisms between technical and field teams to ensure a rapid response to any operational disruptions, thereby maintaining network stability and uninterrupted water supply to consumers.
He emphasized the vital role of the National Water Control Center in overseeing and operating the water system around the clock, and praised the efforts of national staff, including engineers, technicians, and field workers.
The Minister further stressed the importance of continuing to enhance preparedness levels and strengthening preventive measures to ensure the highest standards of efficiency and reliability in the operation of the water network.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all ministry employees and reaffirmed the leadership’s continued support for the development of infrastructure in the electricity and water sectors, aimed at enhancing the security and sustainability of vital resources in the country.
