His Excellency Dr. Sobeeh Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizim, Minister of Electricity, Water and

Renewable Energy, received His Excellency Mr. Kenichiro Mukai, Ambassador of

Japan to the State of Kuwait, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the

field of water desalination technologies.

During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities for cooperation between the

two countries, the exchange of technical expertise, and the utilization of advanced

Japanese technologies in water desalination, in line with the Ministry’s needs and future

projects. These efforts aim to improve production efficiency and strengthen water

security in the State of Kuwait.

The meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Kuwaiti-Japanese relations

and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, serving the interests of both friendly

countries.
