The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy was honored as a strategic partner in “Sustainability Camp – Season 4,” organized by “Enviro Group,” the scientific team of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), in collaboration with the Adailiya Health District Committee, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Scientific Center.
The Ministry was represented by Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Monitoring, Control, and Supervision Centers. The Ministry was honored in recognition of its role in supporting efforts to raise awareness of sustainability concepts and promote a culture of electricity and water conservation through the national energy and water conservation campaign “Wafer” and its various awareness programs and initiatives targeting different segments of society.
During the event, the Ministry participated in evaluating the sustainability projects submitted by the children participating in the camp, which reflected their ideas and initiatives in the areas of natural resource conservation, efficient consumption, and sustainability, thereby helping to enhance their environmental awareness and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices from a young age.
The Ministry’s participation in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of sustainability and instill the concepts of responsible use of resources among the younger generations, thereby supporting the goals of the national energy and water conservation campaign “Wafer” in building a society that is more aware of the importance of conserving electricity and water resources.
