As part of the spirit of cooperation and integration among government entities, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has joined the national “Waffir” campaign, launched by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. Through a series of awareness initiatives under the slogan “Waffir Lasts”, the campaign seeks to promote public awareness of the importance of conserving the nation’s resources and encouraging the rational use of electricity and water.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has dedicated part of its Friday sermon plan to addressing the importance of conservation, highlighting the Islamic principles that advocate moderation in consumption, discourage extravagance, and emphasize the preservation of public resources as a shared religious, national, and societal responsibility.

The Friday sermons also underscored the importance of adopting positive practices in electricity and water consumption, while emphasizing the role of individuals and families in reducing waste. Such efforts contribute to supporting the stability of the electricity and water systems and safeguarding natural resources for future generations.

The Ministry affirmed that its participation in the “Waffir” national campaign reflects its commitment to expanding the reach of the campaign’s awareness messages to all segments of society by utilizing religious platforms to reinforce the values of conservation and encourage sustainable daily practices.

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy commended the cooperation and effective participation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the campaign, emphasizing that the integration of efforts among state institutions contributes to delivering a unified national message, strengthening public awareness of the importance of conserving electricity and water, and promoting the concept of conservation as a shared national responsibility and a patriotic duty.
