The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announces that, as a result of the heinous Iranian aggression against the State of Kuwait, the power and water distillation plant was attacked for the second time in two days, resulting in a fire breaking out in some of the plant's facilities. This affected a large number of electricity generation units, which necessitated activating emergency plans and dealing immediately with the incident to reduce its effects and maintain the stability of the electrical system.

The General Fire Force teams immediately began dealing with the incident, and the fire is being brought under control and extinguished. Meanwhile, the technical and emergency teams of the Ministry, in coordination with the security authorities, have begun implementing the necessary technical and precautionary measures to secure the station, assess the damage, and work to return the affected units to service as quickly as possible, while adhering to the highest safety standards.

The ministry confirms that technical teams are working around the clock to maintain the stability of the electrical system and ensure the continuity of service, with continuous monitoring of electrical network indicators and taking all necessary measures to reduce any impact that may occur on the system.

The ministry indicates that it is monitoring developments around the clock, in coordination with the relevant authorities, and will keep the public informed of any updates through its official channels.

The ministry urges citizens and residents to cooperate with it during this exceptional period by rationalizing electricity consumption.
