His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, received the Ambassador of Canada to the State of Kuwait, Ms. Tara Sherwater, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamil.

During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the State of Kuwait and Canada in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy were discussed, in addition to reviewing the opportunities available to exchange experiences and benefit from Canadian experiences in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainability and modern technologies that support the development of the electricity and water sectors.

The meeting also addressed a number of topics of common interest, which contribute to strengthening the frameworks of technical and institutional cooperation, and support the Ministry’s directions towards developing infrastructure and raising the efficiency of services, in line with the goals of sustainable development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continued communication and exchange of experiences, which would strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and open up broader horizons for cooperation in areas of common interest.
