The visit was also attended by Mr. Lee Pau Chen, Chairman of the National Group for Investment in Electrical Energy, along with several company representatives. During the tour, the delegation received an overview of the project's components, marking the initial practical step toward integrating renewable energy sources into Kuwait's national power grid. The project has a capacity of 70 megawatts and employs various techniques, including solar PV, concentrated solar power, and wind turbines.
His Excellency the Minister reaffirmed the Ministry's dedicated support and commitment to the Al-Shuqaya projects, including phases three and four, as well as the Abdaliyah project, in partnership with leading Chinese firms. These efforts align with Kuwait's strategic goal of generating 30% of its electricity from renewable energy by 2030, strengthening energy security and fostering sustainable growth.
