12-11-2025 Opening of the Gulf Electricity Conference and Exhibition (SEGRE 2025) under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, the Minister of Finance, and the Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, and in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamil.

This morning, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, opened the Gulf Electricity Conference and Exhibition (GCC POWER 2025), hosted by the State of Kuwait from November 10 to 12, 2025, organized by the Gulf Electricity Committee (GCC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies, heads of Gulf delegations, representatives of the ministries of electricity and energy in the GCC countries, as well as a select group of experts, engineers, and specialists in the fields of energy and electricity from various countries around the world. In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Zamil welcomed participants to their second home, the State of Kuwait, emphasizing that hosting this prominent regional event is part of the Ministry's commitment to strengthening Gulf cooperation, exchanging experiences and knowledge in the fields of electricity and renewable energy, and keeping pace with the latest technological developments to achieve the transition to sustainable energy.

Dr. Al-Zamil pointed out that the conference is a leading scientific and professional platform that brings together experts and decision-makers in the electricity sector to discuss innovative solutions and future challenges in the areas of power generation, transmission, and distribution, in addition to showcasing the latest technologies that contribute to increasing the efficiency of electrical networks and enhancing service reliability.

The conference will be accompanied by a specialized exhibition featuring a group of local, Gulf, and international companies showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in the fields of electrical systems, renewable energy, digital transformation, and energy efficiency.
