Her Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Acting Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mashaan, held an urgent meeting with the ministry’s leaders to assess the current situation and monitor the readiness of the electricity and water system in light of the delicate regional developments.

During the meeting, Her Excellency was briefed on reports concerning electrical loads, production rates, and the readiness of power and water desalination plants, in addition to approved emergency plans and coordination mechanisms with relevant state authorities to ensure the continuity of service with high efficiency.

Her Excellency the Minister stressed the need to raise the level of preparedness and enhance readiness around the clock, emphasizing the importance of integrating roles between the various sectors of the Ministry and responding quickly to any developments, in order to ensure the stability of the electrical and water networks and protect vital facilities.

The Minister concluded the meeting by emphasizing that the Ministry is working according to an integrated emergency plan, and that the work teams are in a state of continuous session, calling on everyone to continue working in the spirit of one team and to bear national responsibility in this critical stage.

As part of the field follow-up, Her Excellency visited the National Control Center, where she was briefed on the mechanism for managing and monitoring electrical loads in real time, and listened to a detailed explanation from specialists about the monitoring and control systems and the precautionary measures currently in place.

Her Excellency praised the efficiency of the national staff and their continuous efforts to ensure the continuity of vital services in various circumstances.
