His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdel Aziz, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Energy Committee, which was devoted to discussing the latest developments related to the shift in the energy sector in the State of Kuwait within the framework of national endeavors to update strategies that align with the high trends towards sustainable energy.

The meeting witnessed a review of the white document on transforming energy in Kuwait, presented by Eng. Dina Al-Naqib, Director of the Research and Technology Activation Department at the Kuwait Foundation for Scientific Progress. This document dealt with patriotic initiatives to achieve energy transformation, enhance economic gains, and contribute to the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.

Eng. Sahar Al-Awadi, the Director of Strategic Planning at the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, also presented a detailed overview of the energy transformation strategy in the oil sector, with the aim of supporting Kuwait's position on the global renewable energy map.
