The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy is on an inspection tour of the Southern Al-Zour station and praises the efforts of workers during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday.

His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Sobeih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizim, conducted an inspection tour to the Southern Al-Zour Station for Electrical Power Generation and Water Distillation. He congratulated the alternating workers during the Eid Al- Adha holiday and observed the progress of work at the station. He was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Adel Hamad Al-Zamil, the Ministry's Assistant Deputy for Electrical Power Stations and Water Distillation, Engineer Haitham Al-Ali.

His Excellency the Minister started his tour by visiting the thermal control room (TCR) and the electrical control room (EC), where he observed the operational mechanisms and procedures followed at the station and received a detailed explanation of the station's electrical control system from the Director of the Southern Al-Zour Station, Eng. Zahir Al-Saad. The station's compound production capacity is 5800 megawatts, which represents about 31% of the total energy produced in the State of Kuwait, in addition to its water production capacity that reaches 140 million gallons per day.

His Excellency the Minister also listened to brief explanations from the station's monitors, each according to their competence, where they reviewed the daily work mechanisms and periodic maintenance work, along with the technical challenges they may face. Among the participants in the presentation were Engineer Ali Qassem (Micro-devices Maintenance Observer), Engineer Faisal Al-Gharib (Mechanical Machinery Observer), Eng. Ahmed Al-Sharki (Planning, Services, and Training Observer), Engineer Fahd Bou Himid (Operating Observer), Engineer Ali Habib (Electrical Maintenance Deputy), and Engineer Al-Hassan Al-Ba'ath, Head of Security and Safety Department.

At the end of the tour, His Excellency Dr. Sobeih Al-Mukhizim confirmed in a speech that national cadres are the main pillar of the country's progress, stressing the importance of investing in the human element, keeping pace with scientific developments, and promoting research and innovation to support the progress process in the electricity and water sectors. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the workers in the ministry, especially those alternating during the official holidays, praising their efforts rooted in national and institutional values.
