The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, stated that some overhead power lines in the southern region of the country, in addition to the overhead lines adjacent to the Sixth Ring Road, were taken out of service as a result of falling debris resulting from the interception of a number of drones, which caused a temporary tremor in the electrical grid and a partial power outage in a number of scattered areas.

She explained that the specialized emergency teams began their work immediately after the incident, and are currently assessing the damage and carrying out the necessary repairs, in preparation for restoring electricity to the affected areas as quickly as possible, in accordance with the highest safety standards and deliberate technical procedures.

Engineer Fatima Hayat confirmed that the electricity and water situation is still under control, and that the electricity production and water desalination and transmission systems are operating with high efficiency, with continuous monitoring and surveillance around the clock to ensure the continuity of services without interruption.
