04-03-2026 Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Holds Coordination Meeting to Follow Up on Emergency Preparedness.

The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, held a coordination meeting with ministry officials and members of the Emergency Plan Implementation Committee to review the repercussions of recent local events and assess the level of readiness and preparedness across the Ministry’s various sectors.

The meeting addressed the latest developments and the measures taken to enhance the stability of the electricity and water systems. It also included a review of operational scenarios and rapid response plans to ensure the continuity of services with high efficiency and reliability.

Discussions further covered the damage sustained by some overhead power transmission lines as a result of debris from intercepted drones. The Minister reviewed technical reports outlining the extent of the damage and the corrective measures implemented, emphasizing the importance of prompt handling in accordance with the highest technical standards and approved safety and security procedures.

In this context, the Minister expressed his deep appreciation and pride in the efforts of the Ministry’s staff across all sectors, including engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel, who continue to perform their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and national commitment under these exceptional circumstances. He stressed that their dedication is fundamental to maintaining the stability of the electricity and water systems.
