Engineer Fatima Abbas Jwhar Hayat, the official speaker for the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, announced that the ministry’s technical teams had successfully restored three overhead power transmission lines to service after completing repairs following damage sustained on Thursday, March 12, 2026, caused by falling debris in various parts of the country.

Hayat also confirmed that work is underway to repair the remaining lines in coordination with state security agencies to secure outdoor work sites and ensure the safety of ministry employees.

She explained that the repair work was carried out in accordance with the highest technical standards and safety and security requirements, confirming the stability of the power grid and the continued readiness of technical teams to handle any emergency.

She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the national team of engineers, technicians, and workers who worked efficiently around the clock to restore the three overhead lines to service.
