The official speaker for the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, announced that specialized technical teams have completed repairs and restored operation to a main freshwater pipeline in the Maidan Hawally area. The pipeline had been damaged on Friday, March 13, due to a sudden technical malfunction.

She explained that the Ministry has begun pumping water back into the network and is gradually restoring water service to the affected areas. Water supplies are expected to return to normal in the Maidan Hawally and Salmiya areas within the next few hours.

She also expressed her gratitude to the technical teams who worked to complete the repairs and commended the customers for their cooperation and understanding during the repair process.
