29-05-2025 The State of Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Electricity and Water and Renewable Energy, hosted a Gulf symposium entitled "Program to Allocate the Water Desalination Sector in Countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf".

The State of Kuwait, through the Ministry of Electricity and Water and Renewable Energy, hosted today, Thursday, May 29, 2025, a Gulf symposium entitled "Specialization Programs for the Water Desalination Sector in the Countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf." The symposium was attended by the experts' working group of the Electrical and Water Cooperation Committee. The symposium highlighted the importance of allocating the water desalination sector as a national and regional priority, given the increasing challenges associated with water security and the sustainability of resources.

It also aimed to exchange successful experiences among the GCC states and discuss common challenges in a way that enhances the efficiency of the desalination system on economic and environmental levels. Each country from the Cooperation Council presented a review of its efforts and initiatives in the field of allocating the water desalination sector.
