28-07-2025 Kuwait hosts the Gulf Forum to rationalize electricity and water during the period from 5-6 November 2025 under the auspices of the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdul Aziz Al-Mukhaizim.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Abbas Johar, spoke about the readiness of the State of Kuwait to host the Gulf Forum to rationalize electricity and water 2025 (the presidential state). This will take place in the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center during the period from 5-6 November 2025 under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Subaih Abdul Aziz Al-Mukhaizim, Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.

She emphasized that the forum is one of the most prominent regional events specialized in energy efficiency and water, where it brings together a group of officials, experts, and specialists from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to discuss the most significant challenges in the fields of energy and water rationalization and efficiency. The forum will review the latest technological solutions and sustainable practices that contribute to maintaining natural resources.

The forum is a vital platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors in the Gulf countries, supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals, and contributing to building a more efficient and sustainable future in resource use.

Engineer Fatima Jawhar explained that the program includes a set of dialogue sessions and workshops that highlight the latest innovations and review the most prominent successful Gulf experiences in the fields of electricity and water consumption rationalization. The program also focuses on the importance of societal awareness and enhancing the culture of preserving resources, which contributes to the consolidation of sustainability practices.

The main axes have been identified for the presentation of scientific papers as follows:

1. The first axis: Policies, legislation, and performance indicators in the field of energy and water

efficiency and consumption rationalization.

2. The second axis: Gulf innovation and strategies in patriotism and entrepreneurship in energy

and water efficiency.

3. The third axis: Awareness and social responsibility in the electricity and water sectors.

4. The fourth axis: The shift towards a green economy as a tool to enhance Gulf sustainability.

This year, the forum will witness the announcement of the "Gulf Excellence Award for Energy and Water Efficiency", which aims to honor authorities, institutions, and individuals who submitted initiatives and pioneering projects in the field of electricity and water efficiency. These efforts have contributed to enhancing the concept of electricity and water consumption rationalization at the level of the Gulf states. The award aims to encourage excellence and innovation in this vital field and highlight inspiring models in achieving environmental sustainability.

Prize categories:

1. The Gulf Excellence Award for Energy and Water Efficiency for Buildings 2025.

2. Award for the Best Gulf Influence 2025.

3. Award for the Best Gulf Electronic Application to Rationalize Electricity and Water 2025.

The award applications can also be submitted through the official website of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy at www.me.gov.kw, where entities and individuals can fill out the electronic form and submit supporting documents, provided that applications close by the maximum date of October 10, 2025.

The ministry's spokesperson confirmed that participation will be evaluated by a specialized committee that includes experts from the countries of the Cooperation Council, according to the standards of transparency, innovation, and environmental impact.
