His Excellency Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, participated in the Fifth Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference from October 22 to 20, 2025, under the theme "From Vision to Impact."
The conference will be attended by a large number of ministers, experts, and specialists in water affairs from the 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. They will discuss common water issues and challenges facing Islamic countries, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and partnerships in the areas of sustainable water resource management and developing joint initiatives and projects that support water security and stimulate sustainable investment and financing in this vital sector.
Minister Al-Mukhaizeem emphasized that Kuwait's participation in this conference comes within the framework of its commitment to supporting regional and international efforts in the field of water and to exchanging experiences and expertise with member states in order to enhance water security and environmental sustainability. He pointed out that Kuwait pays special attention to developing its water resources and improving their efficiency through the application of modern technologies and digital transformation in planning and management processes, in addition to adopting initiatives that support sustainable development goals in line with the "New Kuwait 2035" vision.
